Sunset

It is the last week (6) of Summer of Colour 5, and this week the colours are Orange + Orange + Blue.  As I really am a rubber stamp and ink, card making nut I have been trying to step out of my comfort zone and tackle other art forms...so today, where ever this came from - I thought the colours reminded me of a sunset over water...so I got out my cheapie set of water colours  and a pad of 280gsm canvas and used a pic I'd saved as my inspiration. Muddled away with the colours and when I was happy I used a stamp as my foreground foliage.  It's not brilliant but I had a go and have enjoyed myself.  I am also posting my mini painting to the Friday Challenge at Frosted Designs where the theme is Sun/Son - first time for me on this blog.
Thanks for taking a peek

  4. A great sunset in watercolor using the colors....but what really pulled my eye in was the use of the foliage in the foreground... very nice touch.

  15. Gosh Robyn, I’m ONLY a week late visiting. Isn’t it sad about SOC? But the final one was a gem, anyway.

Your stunning sunset was ablaze with beauty. I was truly impressed and love it.

Even though SOC has officially ended, I'll still be around to visit OFTEN.
